So Fresh & So Clean, Clean
It doesn't matter how styled your spaces is - if it doesn't smell fresh, you aren't ready to host. (Trust me, with two dogs and three kids... I know.) Having a fresh smelling home and using safe products is extremely important to me so rather than lighting a candle or using some sort of plug-in (which can send out all sorts of pollutants into the air my kiddos and guests breathe in and likely just covers the odors rather than removing them) I reach for things like my diffuser and essential oils to set the stage for those visiting our home.
For a perfectly fresh and Spring filled home, here are a few of my favorite diffuser blends:
Fresh Rain Shower
3 drops Vetiver
3 drops Lemon
2 drops Orange
2 drops Lemon
1 Drop Geranium
3 drops Peppermint
1 drop Basil
1 drop Eucalyptus Radiata
So Fresh, So Clean
2 drops Peppermint
3 drops Tangerine
3 drops Lime
*Note: I use all Young Living oils.
MY FAVORITE CLEANER
I believe that step one for hosting well (and living well) is to first have a clean home. And don't get me wrong, my home is not sparkling clean at all times and yours doesn't have to be either. When it comes to cleaning, I want it to be simple and safe.
To help with that I use Thieves Household Cleaner. This cleaner can be used on basically every surface of your home from windows to counters to furniture to floors and tubs. A plant-based formula made with a mix of essential oils, Thieves Household Cleaner has a sweet, spicy scent that even my kids love plus an effective deep cleaning power without the harsh chemicals found in typical cleaners.
And best yet, one small bottle is ultra concentrated and will last you months so you can always rest assured your home is guest ready.
MY FAVORITE LAZY SHOWER CLEANING HACK
OK, friend. Do you hate cleaning the shower as much as I do? Then this is for you! I clean my shower while I shower. And now, it's easier for me than ever!
I just filled up one of these basic dish wand scrubbers with equal parts Thieves Household Cleaner and Thieves Dish Soap and leave it in the shower. Every fews shower, I grab the wand, scrub the walls, floor and glass, and rinse. Boom! Easy peasy and my shower is looking better than ever.
